Up-close ("macro") photography was one of my earliest photographic interests.

It opened my eyes to all the mystery and wonder occurring right underneath my nose. The stunning detail that emerges when even the smallest things on our planet are scrutinized closely is mind-boggling.

I haven't been able to look at the world the same way since.
